At Neuse Baptist Church we believe every member is to be actively engaged in reaching our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 Why We Go

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."      Matthew 28.19-20

 How We Go

At Neuse Baptist Church, we believe there are several methods of outreach taught in the Bible.  We want to utilize all of them in our efforts to reach the world.

Two by Two – Mark 6.7

The purpose of “Two by Two” visitation is to find the lost and win them to Jesus Christ.  We usually equate this pattern of outreach as “door to door” soul-winning.

Highways and Hedges – Luke 14.23

The purpose of “Highways and Hedges” visitation is to fill the church building with people.  This is accomplished by passing out flyers, tracts, and door hangers in neighborhoods and beyond.  The goal of this type of visitation is not necessarily to confront people, but to extend an invitation for them to visit to Neuse Baptist Church.

Care and Compassion – Matthew 25.35-40

The purpose of “Care and Compassion” visitation is to provide comfort and encouragement to our congregation.  This is accomplished by visiting people who are sick, elderly, or infirmed in their homes as well as hospitals and nursing homes.

            Personal Evangelism – Psalm 126.5-6

The purpose of “Personal Evangelism” is to bring people to church with you.  This speaks of our own personal efforts in visitation.  God lays a specific individual on your heart and you go to that person and help them take the next step in their Christian life.

Innovation and Technology – Luke 5.3

The purpose of using “Innovation and Technology” is simply to reach people with Jesus Christ.  When Jesus traveled throughout Israel, He often used what was available to teach and reach the multitudes.  At Neuse we attempt to do the same thing by using the internet, phone lines, cards, and emails to encourage people and reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 When We Go

Neuse Baptist Church has several times throughout the month when we meet collectively to accomplish our Lord’s great commission; the first and third Tuesday evening of the month at 6:30pm.
